Mercy Abbe and sister Abigail married respectively, Jonathan and Joseph, sons of John and Grace Ormsby of Rehoboth, Mass.

Rehoboth vital records show the marriage of a Jonathan Ormsbee on Jan. 20, 1742/3 to Martha Hammon. This is believed to be Jonathan (note his wife had died Feb. 12 1741/2), and Martha was the widow of William Hammon , who had died Jan. 1729. William Hammon had married Martha Redaway on Aug. 16, 1711. She was born July 26, 1687, daughter of John and Mary Redaway.

Jonathan Ormsbee was born on 20 Aug 1678 in Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts. He died on 22 Jun 1728. He was baptized into the LDS church on 10 Mar 1934. He was endowed on 9 Apr 1934. He was sealed to parents on 20 Nov 1946 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS temple. He was christened. He was buried.
